C.A. Hartnell is involved with many national charities. If you can, we encourage you to get involved! Check out these incredible organizations and donate if you can. They can always benefit from the help!
Easter Seals of Nevada
C.A. Hartnell sponsor’s Easter Seals of Nevada’s Cheers to Chocolates and other fund raisers.
PEF Public Education Foundation of Las Vegas, NV
They do Spring and Winter Student Concerts in Reynolds Hall at the Smith Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. PEF Partners with CCSD and community philanthropists like me to have pupils and professional musicians perform together. The students also do an amazing art show.
Las Vegas Philharmonic
In the past, I’ve helped Las Vegas Philharmonic do their July Fourth event and am presently sponsoring their new music van that takes instruments to schools across the Las Vegas valley for the students to play.
Nevada Ballet Theatre
During Nevada Ballet Theatre’s performance of the Nutcracker, I’m one of many sponsors of their Winter Wonderland at the Smith Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. They give away my bookmarks and I read the Nutcracker story to the kids attending the ballet. I like to buy a table at their Black & White Ball.
My Possibilities in Plano, TX
My Possibilities in Plano, Texas, is an organization that provides higher learning to folks with disabilities. MP and I are partnering to take my car, Hawk’s Ride, on a road trip to the MP Campus to live in their diner. The Hipsters will be taking care of Hawk’s Ride.
Noah Homes in Spring Valley, CA
Noah Homes is a lovely residential community in California for people with disabilities. I had a blast sponsoring Candy Land in their new Enchanted Village event they do in December.
Mychal's Learning Place in El Segundo, CA
They have After School Programs for students with disabilities, Adult Day Programs and Art Programs for folks with disabilities. They do coffee and baked goods to give job training skills to their folks. This involvement is brand new for me but very exciting as it puts me back in the Los Angeles area where I spent my childhood.
Christopher Smith Foundation
My friend, Linda Smith, has created this Foundation as a legacy for her special son that plans to help caregivers in a variety of ways. This is a new sponsorship for me.
United Citizens Foundation (UCF)
UCF gives therapy on campus and in their clinic to troubled teens and elementary students in the Las Vegas valley. I’m connected to this organization through my friend, Shari Exber Brown, a former CCSD teacher.
Urban Promise, Camden, NJ
They help area children with academic, spiritual, and life skills. I donated books to them and would like to become more involved.
Biblica/New York Bible Society
They print the the NIV Bible. As C.A. Hartnell I’ve invested in their Accessible Bible for people with disabilities. I sponsored the writing of this NIV New Testament into American English and Spanish from Anglican English and am printing 2,000 of them to distribute to various charities (I support).
Heart Gifts/Seed Faith Books
My friends, Helen and David Haidle, have an amazing non-profit ministry in Portland, Oregon, that “sows the seeds of God’s Word to the needy and neglected around the world.” Presently, I’m one of many folks helping them with their ministry to ship the Christmas cards they create each year to prisons across America to give to prisoners.
Mountain Fountain Creations/A Pearl for Every Girl
This is a non-profit ministry based in Fort Collins, Colorado, that helps girls to find their worth and become the pearls God meant for them to be: pearls of great value! It’s been a blessing to be able to help Christina’s ministry for many years.
